Then, he understands.
Ignis smiles subtly, fingers stroking down her upper arm as he coaxes her arms up around his neck. He kisses her, and as he does he pulls her up against him, shifting both of their bodies smoothly until she's seated in his lap. It's something he's done before, though never in quite this position, and he draws in another breath - a little more sharply - as his eyes dip closed for a moment.]
