It has been some time since last we met, and I wanted to check in and see how you were settling in. The winters can be harsh here, so do make certain that you have a suitable housing situation and wardrobe.

The locals are already starting to put up decorations for an upcoming holiday, Modranicht. Would you like to join me in viewing them?

The locals can be wary of us at times, and it can make life a tad difficult at times. I'm glad to hear that you're faring well in adjusting and getting settled.

I can't really take credit for the spelling, though. I just said the word out loud to my watch and it wrote it down for me.
